The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program is a highly competitive program that encourages domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research/Research and Development (R/R&D) that has the potential for commercialization. DSBS is a free portal sponsored by the Small Business Administration that small businesses can register with through their SAM profile. This system is accessed by prime contractors and government agencies to search for small vendors.  This is a great free marketing tool for small businesses to utilize. Be sure to optimize your profile and fill it out in full including a capabilities narrative, keywords that describe your products and services as well as up-to-date contact information and a link to your website!

Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) provides a D-U-N-S Number, a unique nine digit identification number, for each physical location of your business.

D-U-N-S Number assignment is FREE for all businesses required to register with the US Federal government for contracts or grants.
 

The Vets First Verification Program affords verified firms owned and controlled by Veterans and Service-disabled Veterans the opportunity to compete for VA set asides. During Verification, the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) verifies SDVOSBs/VOSBs according to the tenets found in Title 38 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 74 and 13 CFR Part 125 that address Veteran eligibility, ownership, and control. In order to qualify for participation in the Veterans First Contracting Program, eligible SDVOSBs/VOSBs must first be verified. 

The Industry Liaison Program (ILP) establishes strategic relationships with suppliers and stakeholders; serves as an information provider for suppliers seeking to do business with FEMA; and connects suppliers with program offices in support of FEMA’s mission.
